The head on this clogs too frequently with hair. They e redesigned it in newer models. I've already broken our head after about a few dozen times of use. If you want to clean out the brush basically every three times you use it, then it will probably last.

The only Ryobi tool I've ever bought (and my garage is full of yellow) and thrown away. Bottom line - It doesn't suck, but it does ;-).

These break over and over and over. Nobody who has owned one of these posted this. Shame on OP.

I like some my other Ryobi stuff but their upright vacuums are terrible design.

what's ridiculous is that this WAS a redesign on their first vac that had horrible issues clogging from pet hair. and now this one still has issues? lol. pitiful.

"OP" is a staff member being paid to post this here. hence the upvote score despite everyone knowing this is a crap deal for a crap product. its not enough for them to deceive us into thinking this is a real community sourced deal, they have to deceive us into thinking its also a well received deal.

I've had this for a couple of years and my experience is different than the other comments. It's worked great for me. Other than accidently throwing out a seal, it's been great.

Yeah, dunno what's going on with the commentors above me and the brutality they're subjecting their vacuums to, but I like this vac I use one (1) for our entire 2-story house. As with any vacuum, you have to keep up and clean it. It does a great job, but any canister-style vacuum requires diligent cleaning if you want it to work right - that means dumping and tapping it empty EVERY time. The canister disassembles for a good rinse every now and then. Nothing has ever broken and I've owned it now for >2-yr. Lastly, if anyone can find me a rotating head that DOESN'T get hair wrapped around it, let the world know.

Unsure what your expectation is... for a vacuum to never get hair wrapped around the rotating head?

Everyone should look up "Maintenance Cultures". Some have it. Some don't. "Haggis has a hole in his roof. He never fixed it because on rainy days it's too wet to work. And on sunny days it doesn't need fixing."

I have this vacuum and it's descent. I got 3 batteries and this vacuum for $200 last year so this price feels meh.

The canister on this is my least favorite part compared to my Dyson V10. Debris loves to just stick to the side and you have to stick your hand in inside it to pull it out.

I have this, and I only bought it as a first run vacuum pass then I go back with my Miele. But I'm to the point where I'll just use my Miele only and burn through the bags faster. This doesn't actually do a good job of vacuuming up all the dog hair. Maybe on hard surfaces but even then it doesn't get everything.

Same here. I've had ours for close to a year, I think, and we use it for one of the carpets on the 1st floor (thick pile, reduced suction compared to Dyson is an asset) and in the basement. So, it's not used constantly, but it's been great. Reasonable cleaning power, light and easy to use, and very simple to empty. My only negative comment is that the disconnects on the long section and when separating the top aren't very smooth. Basically, they don't separate when trying one-handed, but work readily when using two hands. Minor annoyance though.

I use it with 4Ah batteries, and it goes for a surprising amount of time. Definitely happy with my purchase, but I believe that I also paid half of this price on a limited time deal.
