Although you can modify the Onn boxes at Walmart, this is something VERY different.

This box allows you to watch 1000s of channels from around the world live, and millions of movies & tv shows, for free.

If you've got pre-teen kids, make sure you use the parental lock out, as there are channels that will cause permanent developmental damage (even worse than non-stick cookware).

Be weary of whats being sold here. The specs here and on the AliExpress page specifically note this is an Android 11 device and that the SOC is a Rockchip RK3328

Unless they have changed the specs intentionally due to some kind of recent supply constraints, the vSeeBox V6 Pro was launched this year with Android 14 and typically with a Allwinner H618 SOC (or Amlogic S905Y5 supposedly in some variants). The stated Rockchip SOC is a much older and much weaker processor than both of those. A Google search couldn't confirm any vSeeBox devices have used the Rockchip RK3328

Either the listing is wrong or the device being sold is an imitation, I can't say for certain

And, because all these boxes are very 'international', I would only give them guest account access on your router.

You do not want them having full access to your network.

Every router in the last decade has this feature, and this is a perfect example of when to use it.

Saw a video a long time ago on YouTube showing the network traffic of this thing and decided to never recommend this. It does A LOT on your network and can install apps you aren't aware of that can make the box dance if they wanted to. I am not a pro and as always do your own research please. Stay safe!

How do you set up a guest account on your router?
