A *relatively* good price on a crazy expensive waffle maker. Cooks Illustrated testers did not rate this one highly for either performance or ease of use. "Overly complicated control panel" and only produced properly browned waffles on its lowest setting.
Honestly, I love all-clad stainless pans (which they actually do make themselves in Pennsylvania) but I don't understand why anybody buys anything else that they slap their name on.

I got this waffle maker on sale once from All-Clad clearance site. It has an on/off switch, like every other waffle maker I've ever used. Maybe you're looking at the other model which has a screen. I use this model on the darkest setting and if anything wish it browned more. I'm pretty happy with mine.
