No they shouldn't, people will continue buying Nvidia GPU's at the same rate as always(increasing). What AMD should do is leave the consumer GPU space altogether since people use and champion Nvidia's products and software suite more. Once our pensions and economy is destroyed from the fallout of Nvidia's LLM bubble, AMD should then swoop in to try and capture more market share. Sans that, AMD will continue losing market share but making a net profit as they currently are without

AMD had a shot to gain ground in the consumer space, but it seems they chose to follow Nvidia's tail and try to appeal to AI companies instead. Why keep throwing R&D money at improving FSR for a tiny share of the GPU market when they can bow before the LMM gods and make a lot more? The consumer GPU market is just pathetic at this point. The AI obsession has derailed it.

Too true, it's why I've always advocated for AMD leaving the consumer space altogether. People likely wouldn't care and they could focus on the CPU space and making headway with laptops.

People say this but they clearly aren't trying to gain market share; they are simply maximizing the little revenue they make in that market. I wish that they didn't follow Nvidia to the LLM bubble because it tanked PC building but it'll likely wipe them out when the bubble bursts. They'll only be making money on their APU's and CPU's likely.

if you've seen all the vids and games running DLSS5... the 5070 and the extra $200 might be worth it as long as you don't mind running frame gen all the time to get a minimum 60 frames - some of the YouTube videos with DLSS5 enabled are insane and you can only get that with the 50 series, even with 12GB Vram.

The AMD card wins on price and will run all AAA games just fine with FSR but it runs hotter and draws more power. You'll never get the DLSS5 realism and it looks like game developers are going to continue building specifically for DLSS optimization.

I think most gamers, myself included, always wanted AMD to stay competitive with NVidia but after seeing all the DLSS5 vids on YouTube I'm glad I chose the 5080 over the 9070 XT.

I thought they maybe had a shot at a comeback when the rolled out FSR 4 support for the older 6000 and 7000 cards but if Nvidia can "fine tune" and make DLSS5 more efficient AMD is cooked. no bud, someone modded an unofficial version that barely runs at 20 fps and it's just for the AI neural rendering, not dlss frame gen. if you're buying this card, it's for FSR4 and 60+ fps
