This 10 foot right angle USB C cable stands out for keeping a device plugged in without the connector sticking straight out, which works especially well for Steam Deck and bedside use. It charges fast enough for Samsung Super Fast Charging 3.0 and a Lenovo Legion Go when paired with the right adapter, and the low price makes it an easy backup cable. The main tradeoff is stiffness, since the cable can feel bulky and awkward in tight setups. Durability also depends on avoiding repeated bending at the connector, and the 480 Mbps data rating may not suit display output.

  • The right-angle connector design makes bedside charging easier to manage during nightly use.

  • The cable can support USB Power Delivery 3.0 super fast charging with compatible phone adapters.

  • The cable can work well with a Steam Deck while staying plugged in during carrying-case storage.

  • The cable can properly charge a Lenovo Legion Go when paired with a car adapter that can supply at least about 65W.

  • The cable is annoyingly stiff and can get in the way when routed near devices.

  • The cable may not deliver the advertised 240W charging capability even when PD 3.0 is supported.

  • The cable can fail or become faulty fairly quickly when used with frequent bending near the connector.

  • The cable's 480Mbps data claim may not be sufficient for USB-C DisplayPort video output without DisplayPort Alt Mode support.

This might be a noob question, but is there any reason to believe a USB C cable would not be able to carry a USB C DisplayPort signal? Are all USB C cables compatible with a USB C DisplayPort out from a PC going into a USB C input on a monitor - or not necessarily?
Yeah, it says "and data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps". I don't know off the top of my head that that can carry a USB C DisplayPort signal, just looked quickly, according to duckduckgo:

"USB-C DisplayPort can support video output at higher resolutions, but if only USB 2.0 is used, it will operate at a maximum of 480 Mbps, which is insufficient for video. For video output, the USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode to achieve higher resolutions like 4K or 8K".

I really wish a lot of these cables would carry the data bandwidth, or at least LABEL the cables on the adapter itself, as it's all over the place when you have a ton of cables and without labeling them yourself, grabbing in your bag or box or drawer or whatever can be a pita or hit and miss.

Usually cheap usbc will not support DP Alt Mode. Check DP Alt Modeis supported if you want displayport support. Usb4 also support it.

This is what I have, but they don't last that long if you bend the cable at the connector a lot. They seem to be discontinued also, possibly for that reason. I did buy several to have replacements. There are similar and also ones with a built in stand.

Yea those ribbon cables seem like good idea until you try them, it just gets it the way.

Does it really charge at 240w? AINOPE
For most electronics, you won't need 240w. But then again you won't get 240w unless you have adapter that has 240w output.
The main reason I'd recommend this is because of 90 degree bend. It properly charges my Lenovo Legion GO when paired with the 100w car adapter so it is capable to get at least than 65W. But I can't grantee it will have 240w tho.

... I wouldn't expect some silicon premium floppy for this price.
The Monoprice 10 ft premium silicone cost me $8 last week. True 240w. Lifetime free replacement. I posted a photo of it on my thread. I didn't mind paying $6 to get two of them shipped. SD'rs prefer to buy the 'nope' trash cable . "free sh" sells better than quality on SD. LOL,

I still use the flat right angle cables. Only 1 died so far. I am more careful not to flex the others too much. Thinking about adding heat shrink tubing for more flex protection.

WPLOO8JR seems to still work on grey. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).
