I stay away usually from high carbon stainless steel as I am familiar with the care requirements and I will fail. At this price point it is worth a shot. Thanks OP. My first carbon stainless steel knife.

In on the fence, I have purchased similar deals in the past. I think from my experience if I hand wash and dry right away these inexpensive knives hold up. You come hold off for a nicer knife on sale for like $25 or just pull the trigger on this one at $12. Up to you

This is high-carbon stainless steel.

Not high carbon steel.

Big difference.
