I think that's the point. It's a reasonably cheap way to add more storage to devices that can't easily be upgraded. It won't be as fast or reliable but it's something.

I used these in place of microSD cards to get pihole and Tailscale running on a couple of raspberry pi's. Will grab some spares for future projects.

Maybe $25 for 128gb considering the slow read write.. are a negative when the density gets lage

It's USB 3.2 so it's not exactly slow.

That's why you plug it in and it stays plugged in, like the name suggests.

Nah, don't get this. I got a 256GB MicroSD Express for $40 a couple months ago. It's 100x faster and 100x more reliable and 2x more. You can get one now for $60 if you don't want to wait for a sale and will be 100x better than this.

Ok, maybe size really matters, but this is a crazy high price to pay for slow usb storage even in this day and age. 2 packs of 64gb drives of better brands than verbatim are this price, eg https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HD9H2...RhaWw&th=1

Those are USB 2.0, these are USB 3.2. Massive difference in speed.
