We just got Mint Internet and it's been great. Faster than the Fios it replaced. No issues even during peak evening hours. It really depends where you are.

It's not data limit, it's data speed. 1 gig = 1gbps/sec. Their internet has no cap as to amount you use. I go through several terabytes each week.

Is the gateway they give acts like a modem only? Can I plug it to my personal router?

I'm thinking of getting it for a couple of months to reset my $80/mo Frontier bill, new customers pay only $40/mo.

Just call and ask for any available retention offers has worked 9 out of 10 times for me

It's called paying the city a franchise fee and technically I have the choice of 3 hardwired ISPs that all have their own infrastructure.
heck no to dsl centurystink though but a frontier fiber is coming to Fargo next.

Agreed, I was told by a higher up on t- mobile that is not ready for gaming as of yet.

I would really like to get t fiber but apparently because I have a business account opened with my ssn, I can't sign up for a postpaid account. It's unclear on whether closing the business account would let me open a personal account, but I don't really want to do that for the foreseeable future anyhow... I'm kinda surprised there isn't an alternative

Do not trust T-Mobile for price lock. They can change the name of the internet service and make you make more.

T-Mobile bought out Metronet. I signed up for Metronet when I bought my house 3 years ago and have been very happy with the service.

$70/month gets you 1Gbps symmetrical speeds on CGNAT. They provide you with a "free" Eero 2pk mesh for 1 year (mine was the 6E pro), but then start charging you for the Eero hardware. I already had my own equipment, so I was able to return it at no cost.

$10 extra per month will get you a static public IP, so you can host your own server (I use it to host a Minecraft server for the family).

FYI, the 2Gb plan isn't 2Gbps symmetrical. It's 2gig download, but only 1gig upload. At least, that's how it is with Metronet.

Agree. After their Sprint buyout, they went downhill fast.
Been a TMobile customer for 10+ years, ready to transfer elsewhere, it's been year over year noticeably worse.
