It's like warm. The fan is decent and if you are already in the ryobi ecosphere another batter for $30 isn't bad. There are better deals but it's not full price either

Fan is about $29 usually this version is not $19. And that's a mid-level battery for about $19. So good deal if you need smaller battery and can use extra fan.

Can't have enough either of these it seems.

Same fan is currently $30-36 on direct tools outlet (Ryobi factory outlet).

It's a good deal if you also want the battery. I love these fans, so much more useful than you think.

I picked up the prior version of this from direct tools for 25 or so years back. Incredibly useful and versatile as others have stated. Really nice for camping, mine runs like 8-10 hrs on low with a 4ah battery.

I like that these are hybrid battery/plugin. I have 2 generations of the fan and generally like them a lot. One does rattle some of the time, the other hasn't. Powerful for the size IMO.

The rattling is the fan blade coming loose on the fan. It will get worse and then eventually you turn it on and it's no longer spinning, and the blade is bouncing around. I buy these when they are low price because they are useful but know they won't last more than two summers, three at best for my usage. The fan blades aren't attached well and eventually loosen and strip out the hole in the blade then spin off. Glue and pressure it appears is all that holds it on, but no screw to secure it. Ryobi doesn't sell replacement blades and will sometimes replace the whole unit.
