It's not that bad once you get use to it. I'm coming from the 21" and the weight difference is not that drastic. Yes, it's about 50lbs heavier than the 2135SP I had, but for its size, it's not too bad. The time savings is another bonus

I'm thinking for maneuverability. If your yard is pretty straight but no obstacles it's probably good. Does anyone have one of these in and your yard is complicated with trees and non-straight gardens? I would love to have a shorter Mow time

Hopefully, one can get this for around $ 1,200 on Black Friday. I would buy one. My Greenworks 21-inch has lasted almost 8 years. It's time for an upgrade. Also looking at the Greenworks 25-inch version.

I got a Toro self propelled 30in 2 summers ago because I wanted something bigger thinking it would be faster. The weight absolutely matters, going from ~70 to ~150 made it a bitch to manuever. For my 1/3 acre lot, the time I saved with the extra width was offset by the extra time weedeating because it was harder to get as close to trees and tight areas around our pool. Just my 2cents, but I got the mower for $400 open box and I wouldn't pay $400 for it again.

If you ever have to pick it up? Yep. Have also seen reports of self propel on this feeling like pushing a 22in in neutral. So it may not help as much as you think.

What certainly does matter. With 20" or 21" self-propelled mowers, the difference between a lighter and heavier mower won't be much, and they're all small enough to turn pretty easily. When you get up to a 30" mower, maneuverability becomes an issue, particularly with a heavier unit. Going in a straight line is just fine, but making turns at the end of every row, and especially wherever you aren't just going back and forth in a grid, a heavy mower makes for a lot of work and really feels like it takes a lot more effort.

I bought the 21-inch self-propelled EGO lawn mower in 2018, and told my wife it had to last 5 years for us to recoupt our money. It's stll running strong as we're nearly to 2027.

I love everything EGO. My 2018 battery still works very well. With the lawnmover, my back flag (across the bottom) fell off a few years ago, but doesn't affect anything. I've purchased all of my EGO equipment (basically everything but the chain saw and snow blower which I don't need either) through SlickDeals.

Edit:I forgot the reason I posted. I'm sure the 30-inch EGO lawn mower is awesome. I just can't justify spending 3X after my success with the 21. Besides, I need the steps!

Holy hell, I've been waiting a literal decade for them to finally come out with this! Of course I literally just bought a 42" Greenworks zero turn a couple weeks ago for 1450, but it's nice knowing this exists if I ever feel like getting rid of it.

I had my Greenworks 21" since 2021 and it's been flawless , work horse, I abuse it, 1/4 acre yard ....the 2 original 60 volt batteries still at 100%......but the new 60 volt batteries I just bought last year (I got with buying a leaf blower and snow blower) don't last as long in my 21" mower as the original batteries I got in 2021 .....in my opinion the older batteries are better than the new ones

I returned mine, but probably feel like the reasons would be an overreaction to most but it was 2 small things that peeved me with using it.

Along my fence line I have a little dip where the grass ends and fence is. My 21 inch ego mower the wheels would go along that dip essentially not needing to trim after. This one won't it's to large and unwieldy, and rightfully so it's 9 inches wider.

One of the features I loved when I got my original ego mower was adjusting the height with a lever. This version has those little levers on each tire. My old snapper had these and they were a nightmare and would bend/break off and not fit into position overtime to lock in the height.
