STA.BIL In Season Fuel System Treatment is positioned as a handy maintenance add on for small engines and vehicles, especially when fuel sits for a while. It is described as the same chemical formula as STA.BIL 360 Protection, with the 360 version carrying a higher price. The treatment is paired with ethanol free or Top Tier gas for lawn mowers, chain saws, trimmers, and snowblowers, and regular use every month or two is tied to trouble free operation. A few price references also put the 32 ounce bottle around $13 at Menards, with larger Walmart options available.

Do these have any value in 2026 with modern suvs/cars that seem to drive fine?
Our vehicles recommend to "use premium gas". We've been using standard gas for the past few years and haven't noticed much of a difference in performance. Nevertheless, we add stuff like this to the tank every 1-2 months just to keep things tidy. Then we get into money fights with all the cash we saved from not using premium...

The ethanol and other crap has really been an issue with fuel any more.
Lolz I use e85 when price of e85 is %70 or less than unleaded. I have no issues switching back and forth. 150,000 miles so far (my car can take e85)

I only use stable in my lawn mower and snowblower.

The 360 is better, and more expensive.
Walmart has a 2 pack of 360 32oz for $21.
You can buy it by the gallon at walmart for $ 40.00

If your vehicle calls for a premium octane, that is different than a quality gas. BP and Shell have top tier gas and are better than other stations. That's because of detergents, etc not the octane. If your vehicle calls for higher octane (premium) you need to run that because over years you will do damage to the engine. Might be minor but I try to take care of my engines as best I can. They're a whole lot more expensive whatever savings you could possibly get using lower octane fuel.

Yes, STA-BIL 360 Protection and STA-BIL In-Season Protect use the exact same chemical formulation. Gold Eagle rebranded STA-BIL 360° Protection to STA-BIL In-Season Protection to better distinguish it from their long-term STA-BIL Storage product.
The product description states it's the same 360 with just a name change but does not mention why the original 360 is a dark blue color and this rebrand is orange in color...

Wait so does this not keep gas good for long periods like the storage product? I thought this was basically the storage product with cleaners and I've been using it in a car that gets driven 500 miles a year to keep the gas good

Try using only Top Tier gas ! Some stations near me sell non-Ehtanol gas. More $$ but worth it for small engines and carb health.
That's all I use. Never had any issues with my Stihl trimmer or Bad Boy Zero turn

Yes, the new standard is called top tier plus. You can see it on a sign at the pumps or google up a list of gas stations. Adding extra bottles is just a waste of money. Some top tier plus stations with their generous cleaners added are still low price chains.

Premium is octane not detergents. The spark table detects knocking from using the lower octane gas and may or maynot adjust it always to prevent knocking and damage to your engine. But cutting the spark table it will have less horsepower that you might not notice and generally less mpg by a small amount that you might not notice also. I mostly always use premium now and vehicles that specify it almost always.

Some cars can self adjust to it. Others can adjust to 1/4 or up to 1/2 tank of e85 to each fill up. You find out by a check engine light on dash. It's nice to leave room for normal gas as you experiment and have ability to reset the check engine light. The mpg will drop a lot with full e85. Less with 1/4tank and the low price per gallon far makes up for a few mpg less.
