I owned one, it bricked even plugged in when the battery died despite other parts functioning well. I hate how these portable speakers power supply circuit is designed

It's on sale new for this price a lot on Amazon. I would recommend the newer version cause thats usb type C instead this one is such an old model it's micro USB. It does do good I have it set up for my TV as a soundbar and it's been going for I wanna say like 5 years? Have no idea if newer ones would die soon or not.

This has extremely good battery life (about 12-15hrs runtime on medium volume), it sounds decent, it is very water resistant, and both of mine have worked for years. I got 1 on sale about 6mos after this model came out and another about 6 months after that. I think this is the best all-around deal for an inexpensive compact bluetooth speaker with long battery life.

I went through probably 5 or 6 different budget Bluetooth waterproof speakers before keeping one of these. All of the others would have audio cuts when listening to podcasts and audiobooks, or when there was a quiet part in a song / changing songs. The sound core 2 was the first one I found that met my minimum requirements of reasonably priced, waterproof, had USB-C charging, and didn't drop the audio during pauses in speech. I do wish it could back-charge a phone like a power bank. The higher end models seem to do that, but for the price I can't complain.
