Way way WAY more 3rd party support already than most Nintendo consoles. Not to mention next week they'll have TWO Nintendo Directs announcing more games. Just cuz a system is readily available, doesn't mean it's a flop. Just means the company's distribution plan was sound.

But the regular switch hasn't really come down on price since the release of switch 2. It's like $50 dollars difference from the OLED model to a switch 2

And the wii was significantly cheaper where it really made no sense to upgrade. When the wii u released the regular wii cost was $130

I picked up the Switch 2 with the Best Buy trade in. Have to disagree.

I own a Legion Go 2 and Go S. The Switch 2 is well made and looks great compared to those. The performance is excellent for $450-500. What handheld is better anywhere close to that price?

Obviously the Nintendo store has its restrictions, but I like the concept of physical cartridges and there are plenty of games…clearly not every game. I will buy most games on Steam. However the S2 is a great device.

You remind me of me when I said Nvidia will have eat their 1080 GPUs when they brought out the next generation. I never doubted their ceo again.

anyone know how to fix this issue where anytime i click a link to woot, i always get an error and cant connect. I turned off adblockers etc.

This reminds me of a Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors where the advertisment characters come to life as monsters. Lisa goes to an advertisment company with a poster that says something like " 50 million smokers can't be wrong." Sales numbers are only good for Nintendo. I mean it is attractive to developers for an install base, but usually weaker hardware lends to an inferior experience. If you're not there for Nintendo IP you are better off going PC or anything else. Nintendo needs to quit being closed minded, and release their games on PC. I have a mint Nintendo switch I barely touch. At least a modded Wii U can natively play Wii U, Wii, and GameCube games! Also woot had the Switch 2 refurbished for $50 cheaper for about a month. I just can't get excited about this "Deal"

What a sad time we live in. They take away the OLED screen so they can give it to us in the Switch 2 v2, and now $450 is considered a good deal. And a PS5 Pro is $900.
