I mainly print with PETG because I inherently want my prints to be stronger and more heat resistant. PETG has that good balance between the fun of PLA with the work of ABS. It requires more heat, but I've had no issues using generic PETG settings with my slicer and this filament. I have a sovol/comgrow 4 chamber dryer connected via Bowden tubes to my flashforge ad5x.

One downside is that PETG comes out shinier than PLA. Personally, I don't mind it, but that's something to consider. PLA has more of a matte finish in comparison.

It's really not a big deal to print with. Now recently I've discovered TPU is a big deal to print with. On both of my printers (the other is a creality k1se), if you do not clear any hard filament (pla, petg, ABS, etc) left in the nozzle, TPU will jam and may require you to take apart your extruder to an extent that you may not be comfortable with just to get it working again. I'm reminded of the show Archer, TPU is "like pushing rope."

Good deal but this is some high maintenance petg. Don't even think of using it without seriously drying it out first.

Agreed. Even with the shrink wrap and dessicant packet, these really need to be dried.

Can you give any tips to a complete amateur? I grabbed a 10 pack of their PETG a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to print with it yet. No experience printing PETG at all, so any advice is welcome.

Kingroon's PLA has been amazing for me so far, so I'm hoping I can get up and running with their PETG too

Like others said, don't trust the shrink packaging. With pla I usually print straight out of the packaging. With petg I dry the spool for 6-8 hours before printing. There are plenty of good print profiles and settings online, depending on your printer and slicer. PLA is easier and more forgiving in my experience.

Is 6 hours enough for this filament? I have been doing 8 hours. Take it out the dryer and use it. They are in bags and silica packets when not in use. I have the red husky bin a few have recommended

I had to calibrate on ad5m, still not entirely happy with the results but I'm new to 3D printing and PETG. PLA is known as being more forgiving. I dry it for 6 hours and then store it in a DIY Cereal dry box with desiccant.

So to WHAT TEMPERATURE are people setting for the drier? My AcePro only goes up to 60C and it sets the PETG to 50C.
