If these batteries were just ticking time bombs, we'd have fifty farking fire disasters waiting to happen in every house.
Use the correct charger. Don't buy some sketchy piece-of-shit battery from God knows where. Take care of your equipment. You'll probably be fine.
What drives me insane is my boss is an older nimrod who won't let me lock my e-bike in the front where I can actually keep an eye on it. Then my scooter gets its lock bolt-cut and stolen.
And everybody acts like electric bikes are the farking invention of the devil.
Every time there's some breakthrough in technology, people immediately want to tear it down because they're scared of it.
I'm not saying lithium batteries have never caused fires. Of course they have. So have farking refrigerators.
Your toaster can burn your house down. Your dryer can burn your house down. Your farking Christmas tree can burn your house down.
But nobody walks into work and says, "Jesus Christ, Bob, did you unplug the toaster? That thing has a history."
An iPhone can catch fire and we're like, "Damn, that's crazy."
An e-bike catches fire and suddenly it's "THE END OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION."
Maybe stop treating every new piece of technology like it's a terrorist with a charging cable.
The battery isn't the problem. Your fear of anything you don't understand is.
