I have one that looks exactly like this. Good that it comes with a tripod because the threads are too far inset for most camera tripod to work. It has a phantom draw so if you don't take the batteries out they will go dead after not too long. Other than that it's fine

Have a slightly different laser; same tripod. Since this model does not have a rechargeable battery, I think I would pass on this unit. While batteries are inexpensive, they tend to die in the middle of a project. Then off to the store to buy more batteries.

I got a Huepar one for $100, though my coworker showed up with a better Huepar one that he got on black Friday for $60. I bought a tripod separately on a slick deal.
