First time i went there since covid i got sticker shocked. I was thinking shit i could go to a real resturant for these prices. $16 for two pieces of chicken and rice.

Pollo bowl and BRC combos are still worth the money. If you get their flyer ads they almost always have the meal for two at $12 which is really good too.

Years ago they eliminated the word "combo" and changed it to "Meal". The difference is that the combo included a drink and meal doesn't, but the price didn't reduce and you pay extra now for a drink! Pretty bastard move if you ask me...

I love the $6 bowl meal is probably one of the best value healthy fast food combos

I got this today and it was a good deal. Also, the workers at the location I go to are always very sweet, which I appreciate given that ff workers are often so harried for low pay. That said, the app is a PITA because I expected it to confirm the deal applied before submitting the order but it didn't do that, so I had to get them to scan it at the restaurant. Also, the sides are always good and I like the way the chicken is prepared, but the pieces are small and not the best quality. Four bucks was a bargain, but I won't normally buy their chicken meals at reg price because there are better deals, IMO.

Depends. I once rode my motorcycle over 150 miles round trip on a gorgeous Sunday for a fried pie and a lotto ticket at a great little convenience store outside Austin, TX, but that was one of those "journey, not the destination" things. It'd be damn hard to apply that to a 500-mile El Pollo Loco run, though.
