I don't think it's a "cheap charger" - it's a GaN charger from a reputable brand.

It just happens to be on sale.

It's not a "CHRNCJSHSH" brand charger on Amazon or anything. Wink

If the same charger was its original price ($35) would it be okay?

Insignia is a Best Buy store-brand. They're pretty solid. A lot better than the alphabet soup brands....and a even more better than getting a counterfeit on scAmazon: From A-to-Z of inventory commingling.

I recently got one of the same brand with dual port, and when connected to both ports the charger got so much heated that i had to keep it aside for an hour to cool down. Wouldn't recommend this brand!!

we've had multiple anker chargers fail over the years, to also include amazon basics

not a single one of our insignia chargers has failed. in addition, shockingly, same goes for the Dynex branded ones.

not UL rated and "While the product is well-received, some users have noted concerns regarding heat dissipation during extended periods of use." this looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen. the 140W for $20 seems like a better deal than this one

Insignia made the BEST braided USBC cables. I wish I'd bought more when they were on clearance.
