A Big Mac with 4 meat patties brings back the heft and taste from my childhood memories. My local McD charges $1.98 for 2 additional patties, and just add a 0.25 condiment to meet the minimum
the "big" mac has 3oz of meat, between 2 patties. thats less than a quarter pound, which is often standard for a burger patty. theres almost more bread than meat. that should never be the case. the big mac is an embarassment to what a burger should be.
that said, $2 is the correct price for a big mac. i find removing one of the buns better balances the bread to meat ratio.

That's actually how big the patties have always been since they introduced the big mac in the 60's. This isn't a matter of shrinkflation but rather our standards being portion inflated from restaurants one-upping each other to gain customers.
Go order a sandwich in France or Spain and watch them roll out a sandwich with filling one deli slice thick. At some point in sandwich culture evolution, ours diverged from Europe's.

I recently ate a burger from a Swedish grocery store and it was the most horrifying thing ever. Yes McDs deserves criticism for the quality and prices but Americans often take for granted how good we have it with food.

All burger patty weights across all burger chains is weight of patty prior to cooking. McDonald's has always considered the Big Mac patty & the regular hamburger & cheeseburger patty a 10/1 patty meaning 10 patties equal 1 lb & each patty is 1.6 oz so technically the two pattys are 3.2 oz & likewise the 1/4 lb patty for quarter pounders is a 4/1 patty using their internal lingo.
