Deal Details
McDonald's App users will have an offer on 9/9/26 only for a free Big Mac with any $2+ purchase (at participating locations).

The offer should appear under the "Rewards & Deals" section on 9/9.

Likely will require an account in order to redeem, probably can't combine with other offers, etc.,

Community Reviews

This promo is a free Big Mac with a small qualifying purchase, and it stands out most as a cheap way to grab McDonald's signature sandwich. The deal is easy to hit with a drink or a small add on, and the app has shown regional prices and targeted offers as low as $1.76 or $2. The main drawback is the sandwich itself, which is repeatedly described as smaller than expected, heavy on bun and sauce, and not worth full price. It works best as a coupon driven lunch rather than a regular menu buy.

I'll order two quarter pounder patties à la carte to meet the $2 minimum and throw them on the Big Mac.

Just had a Big Mac the other week and can confirm that just even by visual inspection they reduced it. Shrinkflation is hitting it hard.

Ever since I can remember, I always removed the top bun bc it's the thickest - much less bready that way {if you're OK w\holding & eating it that way}. I think it tastes much better bc you bite right into the burger & not bread.
but if you remove the top bun, wouldnt you be touching sauce the whole time? that's an awful experience.

I'm not gonna lie, but if the McDonald's app would let me add Big Mac sauce to their other burgers I'd eat there all the time.
You can buy it as a condiment for 30 cents.

They're the exact same size they have always been. Our memories are often exaggerated. It's only the way the price has gone up that makes it seem smaller.

This has to be the most unaware take I've seen in a while. Have you BEEN to McDonald's in the past two years? The prices are higher than some full-service restaurants.

My eyes just about watered when I checked my app for the local price for the sandwich alone. $7.79 It's deals like this that are the only times I buy one. $1.79 medium soda, $.030 condiment, and a free Big Mac will be my lunch on the 9th.
$7.99 where I'm at 😭 I'm going to get the $2.79 McChicken instead of the sugar-water though...

A standard McDonald's Big Mac contains a total of 3.2 ounces of pre-cooked beef.
Breakdown of the Meat
  • Number of Patties: 2
  • Weight per Patty: 1.6 ounces (referred to as a 1/10 lb patty before cooking)
  • Total Pre-Cooked Weight: 3.2 ounces combined
That's what I do as well. But I also order it without the sauce and lettuce so it's a quarter pounder lite.

Regular price: $18 for this garbage.
I don't even think it would be that much at an airport. Where are you seeing prices like that??

That story shows it was for a Big Mac combo meal, at a rest stop. A combo meal always costs more, and rest stops always charge more.

It was never $18 for a Big Mac alone.
