Watched some video reviews of the Aion line this week and there were rather negative comments about them looking scratched up and old quickly, the straps not being comfortable and you would need to buy a waist strap... so best for short walks only. They visually look good though from a business travel perspective, seem to keep their form also when not fully packed... so guess you'll have to decide based on your use-case.

I did pull the trigger on the Thule compression cube set though, also on sale and had great reviews... so once I decide on a backpack, I'll be ready to go Smilie

and it's made from polyester. Like I dont know what material is ideal for backpacks but if you're going to charge $200+ retail I dont think it should be polyester

My last backpack was ~$100 and used extensively for 8 years. In hindsight, it was a great deal.

I have had the Thule Accent for 7 years now ($108 on Amazon 7 years ago, surprisingly it is listed for the same amount today, which means it is cheaper. $108 in 2019 is worth $143.27 today!)

It is smartly designed. I especially like the layout of the compartments.

It is 28L, which is more than enough space for me. This Aion is 40L which must be massive.

Just sharing my experience. Once it craps out, I will probably replace it with another one. It felt hard to pull the trigger on a backpack for more than $100 but I have to say I more than got my money's worth. Thule has some clever and smartly designed packs.

Triple C ( ccc ) says this is the lowest price since it has been available on amazon. It looks sharper than some of the osprey's that are on sale , but a lot of osprey's are a lot cheaper. I just got the $41 osprey yesterday and it feels like it is very high quality, but this thule is really sharp and modern looking.
