We refill the pods with our favorite coffee and use a paper filter with My Cap.
Perfect cup of coffee
There's no cafe du monde(sp) for the line I have, so I bought the tops and just fill it myself with no issue.

The #1 reason to use a "pod" coffee system (Keurig, Nespresso, etc) is the convenience. If you're buying your own loose beans/grounds, refilling pods, cleaning pods, etc, all the convenience of a pod system is gone at that point. You'd be better off getting an inexpensive espresso or drip coffee maker.
