Literally just used this to drain and fill and transmission fluid. Worked like a charm, 30 minutes and that was mostly bending and pouring. Poured the old fluid right into the empty "new" fluid container. Yes slickdeals I used a different funnel for the old and new don't come at me please.

If you use this on thinner oil while the car is still fairly warm, it cant drain fast enough and will overflow. So just be warned

That's not true. Unless your oil has peanut butter to clog up the drain holes, it'll drain fairly quickly. It's even faster when you open the venting hole.

Literally peronal experience lol. Opened the vent, removed the plug, then drained my oil. It flowed over. Hot 0w20

I use the same weight oil in my Tahoe. Never had it run over. I think it's just user error somehow. Did you drop the screw into one of the openings? Btw, I run my engine a little to get the oil thin so it does drain easier. That's a common practice.

It's probably also how the car drains

Compare this pan to the two crap pans you mention. i know because I have owned both of them. The 'Hyper Tough' from Walmart is too shallow causing oil to splash and the 'Pittsburgh' for HF two small off center drain holes and also causes splashing from the pan being too shallow.

Can confirm the Harbor Freight one was shallow... not like this, just a little ledge on it around the hole. Tossed that thing. But, it did also fit under stuff, so check the height you need if it's not a regular car you're doing the oil on.

Why would you change when oil is hot? It will melt the plastic??? Always change oil when engine is cool? I don't understand these comments of changing oil when hot. Was taught to change oil after leaving car off, overnight .

Not scolding but if the car is warm it drains better and more completely. You also aren't sitting there with the pan trickling for 20min when nearly empty

Check the height? Not really an issue. Jack/jack stands or ramps........
