That means nothing. They can remove it from GP at any point, and this is in Steam.

This is 1/4 the price of a month of game pass and you don't have to maintain your paid membership to keep playing. A better service announcement might be: This was an Epic freebie so check your library if you want to avoid double dipping

It's been free on Epic twice now too. With their yearly "we'll give you a free game every day just so you remember we exist" occurring in December again, it's not a bad time to hold off. Sure, it's not Steam, but the free game library just keeps getting better.

Hasn't this gone on sale on Steam directly several times around this price? I keep meaning to grab the deluxe version (about $7 I think?) but keep getting distracted before I can check out...that's on me though lol.

Also worth noting if you have Prime this is free to play (streaming) right now on Luna.

In 20 years this will run in a virtualmachine on your watch. For single player games past a certain point drm stops mattering, you see the retro game portables with ten thousand games for 50 dollars already. Also unless they invent a cure for arthritis those steam backlog games won't matter.
