Chevron gas gets me 5-8% better MPG compared to Sams and Murphy.
They are about 50 cents higher in price so it's really a savings of 50 cents plus better quality.
Virtual cards don't work, so have to use Apple Pay, I give it a random name and billing address so they have a fewer data points to then share with 3rd parties

Chevron prices are highest among the gas brands. Even with a full dollar per gallon Costco Sam's still cheaper.
Do they have that much better quality gas?

They're a full dollar more than Costco? Not in my area, maybe 25 cents if it's in the same area (not along a highway for example).

You're right, whole dollar is exaggeration. In my area the diff actually 70-80 cents. Chevron prices vary between the gas stations.

And even if it was a $1 more it wouldn't be enough for me to wait ina Costco gas line. My wife gets there early. I would but drive in a different direction.
