this 30th anniversary remaster is (I believe) a digital transfer from the analog tapes by Bob Weston, who was Albini's engineer on the original recording (and close collaborator in their band Shellac). it sounds great too. I'm not particularly skilled at A/B-ing mixes/masters and pointing out the differences. but to me the 20th was so perfect that I don't really see the need for the 30th, other than a cash grab from the label.
and as far as bonus materials, apparently the live tracks on the new edition have some obvious AI denoising that folks on reddit are not thrilled with: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nirvana/s/PIy0ecErXr
