I got one of these a few months ago and it works excellent. What is the next step up though that has Google home integration? The prices seem to jump exponentially

The best you can do is use this wall WiFi (compatible w/ Google Assistant) switch for on & off only.

You would still need the fan's remote to adjust speed, light, & timer functions since the fan is DC and the DC to AC converter also controls the fan.

Very nice I didn't even think of that. I've been using the kasa switches in my home. I have the light disconnected and the fan goes to a high-speed when turned on. So this would actually work perfect for my living room! Thanks

If I need another ceiling fan, or want to replace one, I will only buy a reliable one. It will cost more, but worth it in my opinion.
