The catch is 3 year warranty, Non modular, and 1 single CPU power cable and only 2 PCIe cables. This PSU is setup more like a 600/650 watt PSU in terms of how many plugs it has available. Personally I'd avoid this PSU just on the 3 year warranty alone.

I may be jinxing myself but I've never had a PSU give out on me. Also, 850W even if non-modular, at this price is great. I just got the MSI modular 750w for $55. I'll probably return that for this one.

IMO this is a great deal since most MB only have/need 1 cpu connector and I'm guessing they are assuming most people are using the single high power connector. 60$ is cheap.

how many cpu power cables should there be? i dont think this is made for dual or quad xeons?

I think this is the only 850w Gold PSU i've ever seen that only has one single CPU power cable. Every single PSU i've owned, even a 550w Gold, had two CPU power cables on it. Its not just about the number of cables, its also about the short warranty. At $60 dollars its just not worth risking your components to save like $20 dollars. You're better off spending $20 or $40 more for a 850w with a 10 year warranty. Montech always has PSUs around that price range. Considering how expensvie ram and gpus are right now, why even risk it to save only $20/$40 bucks? Buy something reliable with a good rating on the SPL Tier list

The Montech Century II 850w is only $90 bucks, has a 10 year warranty, has double the plugs, fully modular, better rating on SPL and when its on sale its only $80.
