This game has been fully remade with quality of life improvements and can be bought for...wait for it...$59.88!
It's reductive to say "it's just graphics" because there are many talented designers, developers, musicians, and other professionals who masterfully rebuilt this game from the ground up.
Feel free to wait until a special sale or buy it used for cheaper, but objectively, it's already a reasonable price.

This is a physical pre-order for Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, framed as a full remake with updated visuals and quality of life changes rather than just a graphics tweak. The foil first printing and launch window stock are a big draw, and the price is seen as reasonable compared with Nintendo's own $70 listing and the game's rarity on sale. The main concerns are that it is still a faithful remake of a decades old game, so the value depends on nostalgia, and Amazon preorders have a spotty record for launch day delivery. A solid pick if you want the physical copy and the foil release.
The remake is described as a full rebuild with quality-of-life improvements beyond graphics upgrades.
Amazon pre-orders can let buyers receive the lower price if the price drops after pre-ordering.
The first shipment is expected to be the foil release, which can matter for collectors at launch.
Nintendo's big first-party titles are described as rarely going on sale, so paying near retail may avoid long waits.
Some feedback questions the value of a 1:1 remake at new-game pricing, citing limited gameplay changes and possible visual or audio issues.
Amazon pre-orders reportedly can miss the promised release-date delivery due to overselling inventory.
The product is described as a limited "as supplies last" offer, which can limit foil edition access.
Physical availability reportedly can show as sold out or unavailable on Amazon.

VII Intergrade released in March & it's $40 now.
I hope you aren't comparing Square pricing vs Nintendo... after all... Super Mario Odyssey is still $60 MSRP and it was a Switch launch game.
call me crazy but I don't think 1:1 remakes should cost as much as a brand new game, especially considering OOT doesn't need a gameplay overhaul, it's held up well but maybe make the item switching faster than going through menus
the graphics look like they slapped DLSS 5 on it, and if they didn't then even more yikes
would I buy and play OOT again? sure!
would I pay the same price that new games cost? nope
With the absence of those time consuming aspects it should cost less. After playing the old one recently I would some quality of life improvements are needed, such as all the zones connecting instead of moving in and out of these smaller zones. The control redesign to support camera movement was vital. I do hope they provide more exploration and endgame stuff to do.
I wouldn't mind a VR version of that.
Good to know you will be getting some gas 2 months from now.
I wasn't expecting FF7 remake levels of reimagining and added content but I was hoping for more than adding camera control with the second joystick and prettier graphics.
