Lavazza Super Crema is a budget espresso bean that delivers solid crema and a decent cup for the price. The 2.2 pound bag at about $15 stands out as a strong value, and the beans are described as working especially well for espresso and iced espresso. Freshness can be hit or miss, though, with reports that the bag starts off very lively and then drops off quickly after opening. It is a practical pick if you will use it up fast.
Common Questions (3)
Yes. It is described as fantastic for espresso and producing lots of crema, especially right after opening. The beans can taste decent for the price, but freshness may drop off, so they should be used relatively quickly.
It can start very fresh with plenty of crema, then lose quality faster than expected after opening. Storing the rest in a vacuum-seal bag can help, but it may still be best to consume it quickly.
Not always. The promotion can show as already used the maximum number of times, and some listings also show no coupon at all.

I can't tell the difference in freshness from my local roaster.. but maybe my taste isn't refined enough.

Has varies. Some places it's over $6 a gallon. My local cheapest as of a few days ago was $4.97, but that's been fluctuating a fair bit thanks to the moron-in-chief.
