This is the best kind of ricer because the handle is 100% steel and all 1 piece. Most of these have a plastic handle end attached to the steel part that is near where the handle gets to the pot, and they always break at that area. This one appears to be a 1 piece design where the handle is all steel so it is actually strong and won't break. I got 2 different brands of the cheap half plastic handle versions that said it was stainless steel (half was, so it technically wasn't false advertising) and they both broke within 6 months, then I paid $34.99 to get one that looks exactly like this one with a full stainless steel 1-piece handle design and it has worked for over 5 years without a problem.
