Can I buy just a lid for my storage container?
Unfortunately, we do not sell replacement lids, nor are we able to replace them free of charge. Since 2017, our storage containers have been managed by a licensee.

Community Reviews
Rubbermaid Brilliance glass storage stands out for airtight, easy-to-stack meal prep containers that share lids across multiple sizes, which makes cleaning and packing simpler. The set is described as two 1.3 cup containers, two 4.7 cup containers, and one 8 cup container, and the glass version is valued for food storage and reheating. The main caution is lid durability, since cracking and hard removal are reported, and replacement lids are not sold directly. Still, long-term use and strong sealing come up often enough to make it a practical kitchen staple.

1.3 is good for recipe prep (refrigeration of ingredients, etc)
IMO 4.7 is an excellent size for meal prep.
Given that the 8-cup is typically $15+ retail, its still a good value as a bundle.
People like to compare other glass containers to these. But the great convenience of these Rubbermaid's is how many of the different volume sizes use the same lid. Less logistics when cleaning/storing/packing food.
true.
But their lids are also far superior to the competitors due to just how simply they are made and the functionality of it.
Im a big meal-prepper and have a half-dozen different glass/plastic competitors to these and all their lids are flawed in some way (too many latches that inevitable snap off even after light use, silicone seals that come off/apart, etc)
I mean there are dozens upon dozens of reviews saying the same thing. Lids crack and break with no replacements offered.
First, I do not put them in the microwave. That is probably a good idea for any plastic container in general. Second, when I run the dishwasher, I do not use a heated drying cycle.
Ultimately heat is what destroys plastic (and wood.) Use these for storage but use the glass version if you want to heat food in them.
(Also, it does not make any sense to offer replacement lid since these things are really pretty cheap. I consider them semi-disposable. My children will not inherit my Rubbermaid Brilliance collection)
