U7 Pro AP: $189
Dream Machine 7: $279
It's not a fair fight, comparing a $150 router deal to $468 of Ubiquiti network gear. Those prices are from UniFi's website.
Here's a correction, though. The Dream Machine 7 (It's actually called the Dream Router 7) is a standalone device. You need no additional AP with that. That's not what I have but I am willing to bet in terms of features and performance, it too will embarrass the BE6500. So, for an additional $129 you can have a great gaming router that bas lots more features for you to secure your network than the BE6500.
If you wanted to go with the stack I was referring to, it's more like this:
Dream Machine Special Edition: $499
U7 Pro AP: $189
Yes, those prices sound about right, though if you get them through B&H Photo they will usually price match and if you get their Payboo credit card they will rebate the sales tax.

I don't question the performance, configurability and performance of Ubiquiti network gear. But the cost (unless you are shopping during their Black Friday deal in November) is higher than much of the network equipment out there.
