Not sure it's a deal but wow, what a revival. I guess when consoles go for so much money today a whole system with a bunch of beloved games make sense at this price.

No it doesn't. A thousand dollars for a bunch of 35 year old games and the relevant console and accessories? This is only valuable for nostalgia's sake. Otherwise, it's a ripoff.

Unless you want this as a collectors thing, you can just get all this stuff through emulation wayyyyy cheaper, which is basically what this is.

I remember when they had the audacity to release a $650 system (with $200 games!) in the early 90s.

It absolutely was "arcade quality" but that pricing, combined with SNK's relatively weak library and lack of partnership with other publishers, really did them in.

Still, it somehow hung around for 13 years.
