I own this mouse, It's pretty great (I'm not a fan of mice with a plethora of buttons, so this one does the trick). I just wish it had a Li-Ion battery instead of standard AA, because it goes through roughly a battery every month.

I had this one. Was a good mouse until the middle click suddenly stopped working inside of a month. The material by the thumb also rubs off very easily.

Same, basically, though I think it was a V2. Went back to Logitech. Not sure I've ever had one fail and I am oooold.

They sell usb-c rechargeable AA batteries on amazon. $10 for 4 iirc. I've been using these types of batteries for this mouse for the past decade almost

Li-ion battery wouldn't last nearly as long. If you use the mouse daily you'd probably have to charge it like once a week. If you use rechargeable batteries, which you should be, it's not really an issue.

Removable batteries do add a bit of weight

Nice, got one. Was looking to replace an old Logitech mouse with clicking issues.

True. Standard capacity NiMH batteries add about 2-5 extra grams. 5 grams is the exact weight of a U.S. nickel. Higher capacity NiMH (2,500+ mAh) can add 5-8 grams which is like a nickel + a penny.

To be fair Li-ion is generally lighter than alkaline and NiMH and this mouse is pretty heavy at about 110 grams so it would help. Personally I'd still take NiMH over Li-on battery because I hate running out of juice at inopportune times and using a mouse with cable. With rechargeable I just swap batteries and I'm good.
