Lenny and Larry's Birthday Cake Complete Cookies are best understood as high calorie snack cookies with some protein, not a true protein food. The taste gets praise in some comments, and the cookies are described as more filling than typical protein bars. The main drawbacks are the nutrition profile and the flavor for this specific variety, with repeated complaints about too much sugar, weak protein to calorie balance, and a birthday cake taste that does not land well. Digestive issues from the pea protein and inulin also come up, making this a niche pick if you want a sweet, filling snack.
Common Questions (3)
Yes. The Birthday Cake Complete Cookie is called out as having 20g of sugar per cookie and a very high calorie load, with one comment noting it as the highest-calorie flavor they've tried. It has more protein than a regular cookie, but the calorie-to-protein ratio is still considered poor for a true protein snack.
They taste good to some people and are described as filling, but this Birthday Cake flavor is also called gross or garbage by others. If you want the protein-cookie format, the taste is better than many protein bars, but this specific flavor may not be the safest pick.
They can. One comment reports major gas after eating them, and another specifically blames the pea protein and inulin ingredients for stomach trouble.

You will feel full much longer, its a much much higher source of protein, and at way lower calories since it isn't loaded with sugar. This cookie has 20G of sugar per cookie, a sprite cola is around 25G.
I've eliminated added sugars (and breads) from my diet, and have lost 91lbs in 28 weeks. I always thought I ate too much, but now I know it wasn't so much the bulk but the sugar and refined carbs. Just eating costco rotiserie chicken, broccoli, salad (no sugar dressing), and the like, you feel full on way less calories and don't have that blood sugar spike and falls.
