These 1 ounce Cheez It bags are a handy snack stash for lunches, soup toppings, and Halloween handouts, with the portioned packs making them easy to grab or tuck into goodie bags. The sealed bags also support longer storage, and the printed expiration date was decoded as April 8, 2027. Caveats include reports of occasional torn or leaking bags, possible heat damage in transit, and concern that freezing may leave them soggy. A practical pick if you want small, ready to share portions.

I have never heard of freezing them. They are crisp after a thaw?
Not the one you asked, but they didn't reply.
I Googled, it says not so good. They absorb moisture in the freezer. I won't want soggy crackers. I was hoping they'd stay good for long periods this way, but I must interpret long differently than the other person does. EEK!

I saw some loose cheez-its in one of the boxes and opened it to investigate further. I noticed a couple of the bags that had rips in them. I then gently squeezed each bag to see if there was any air leakage. I would say probably 30% of the bags did not hold air. It seemed like most of the leaky ones I glanced at were leaking from the top of the bag , where you tear them open.

Kroger has big boxes on sale for 19 cents an ounce.
Enjoy portioning it out. Vacuum-sealing every time after you get a serving or vacuum sealing all portions in one go to try to get longer freshness, even though you won't be adding nitrogen as they have in these individual bags.

I just cannot use all of these up fast enough, or I'd be in.

Also, there are more crumbs per ounce in one 19 oz box than in 19 x 1 oz bags. Just something I've noticed from eating these both ways.

The biggest concern for me (not pre-portioning a big box) is that I'd typically eat maybe 2-3 oz worth before stopping. But I'm weak when it comes to these. Being lazy and weak-willed has its price. Embarrassment

I get one now and then with a leak. If there are a bunch, I'd complain to AMZ and get a courtesy credit of some sort, commensurate with the number of damaged bags. Maybe some bust in the heat of Summer. They sit in the trucks for spells.
