Former pro pest control guy here. I built a successful extermination business in college to pay tuition, so trust me on this one. Save your money and pass on that retail stuff. If you want to clear out an entire roach infestation overnight and wipe out the nest, head over to Amazon and spend about 25 dollars total. Grab a 1 gallon pressurized garden sprayer with an adjustable nozzle for around 15 dollars, plus 1 packet of Alpine WSG. That packet is the exact non repellent formula actual professionals use inside homes. Mix the packet into 1 gallon of water, seal it up, shake it well, and apply 2 or 3 fine mist coats around your kitchen, under the stove and fridge, along baseboards, around pipe entry points, and inside bathroom cabinets. Let each coat dry for 15 to 20 minutes before applying the next one. It works because insects cannot detect it, so they walk right through it without avoiding the area. It attacks their central nervous system and causes total colony collapse because roaches scavenge on each other and carry the active ingredient back to the nest. It also carries very low toxicity for pets and kids when applied according to the label. Follow the packet instructions carefully and you will be set.

Or even easier and less expensive option is just to mix boric acid, sugar, peanut butter and make a paste. Use tiny drop along dark corners. It glues like a gum. I wouldn't be surprised if this paste has the same or similar ingredients/formula
