What's the consensus on using car soap and a foam cannon?

I wouldn't use anything high pressure on the condenser. Any non acidic all-purpose cleaner ( simple green, purple power, Etc) in a garden hose will usually do the trick. But for six bucks it may be worth a shot

Honestly, this is really unnecessary for cleaning your condenser. HVAC techs use products like this because it doesn't have to be rinsed off, but you can use dish detergent, simple green, or any other household cleaning product and a garden hose to clean your condenser coil. Ideally, it's best to spray from the inside out.

Products like this are much more useful for cleaning your A/C evaporator or cleaning refrigeration condensers in commercial kitchens where they can get greasy.

I have an indoor Hisense ac unit that smells musty when the ac runs then shuts off to just fan mode.
The coils are in a tight spot inside the unit, would this be a good option

seems like it would work, the foam should wick out the debris

I'm going to use it for the indoor air handler. It's a tight spot and not having to clean up afterwards is a fantastic feature.

not much to say- it works but you probably need more than one for an outside unit. be sure to pull the fuse before cleaning...
