The Logitech Ergo M575S is a thumb trackball that shines for office work, travel, and long sessions once the hand learns the motion. It is praised as an easy entry point into trackball mice, with reports of reduced forearm and wrist strain, quick adaptation, and years of reliable use on desktop, laptop, and home theater PC setups. It also works for some gaming, including World of Warcraft and even mythic raiding, though fast gaming is harder than normal mouse use. The main drawback is limited buttons, and the used unit here had inconsistent clicks and accidental triple clicks.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. It can be a strong office mouse once you get used to the trackball, and it may help reduce forearm strain. Several long-term users also say they adapt quickly and prefer it over a regular mouse for desk work.
It can handle some gaming, including World of Warcraft and even mythic-style raiding, but it is not ideal for fast-paced play. The trackball is reported to feel too slow for gaming that needs quick aim or rapid movement.
It has limited buttons, and the lack of extra controls is a common drawback. If you want more than the basic thumb-trackball setup, the MX Ergo is the more feature-rich upgrade.
A used unit can have inconsistent clicks, including weak click feedback and accidental triple-clicks instead of double-clicks. That makes used-condition quality worth checking carefully before keeping it.
