Infimobile's 12 month prepaid plan stands out as a very cheap way to get unlimited talk and text with 10GB a month, especially on Verizon or T Mobile coverage. The deal is often described as easy to renew or stack, with the new year starting automatically when the current plan ends. Service has been solid for many, including visual voicemail, RCS, WiFi calling, and smooth port ins. Main caveats are taxes and fees, hotspot costs extra, and support and website reliability can be rough, so local coverage and account handling matter.

Anyone doing this long a "contract": Know they charge you ~$8 to change Esims from one phone to another each time.
I just traded iPhones and it let me move the Esim over automatically, I was not charged

Have you tried calling them and asking to be switched to T-mobile? They have access to both networks.

Paying $25/mo on Visible. Happy with it. But do you think it would be worth switching over? Anyone can share their experience as far as coverage and speeds. I am not a very heavy data user, but when I need data, it does need to work - like for when we travel or in emergencies.

We use data for our travel needs. We're on the Verizon towers. It's worked well for about 90% of our needs in rural areas of the west, but we're sometimes in dead areas when people around us have data on TM.
We tried to choose the best carrier for coverage when we started the plan and after lots of comparison we landed on Verizon for our choice. Bottom line: Compare coverage maps and choose the best for your needs.

I want the $30 annual (100 min/txt/500mB) for a backup glovebox phone. Total came to over $50. Outrageous. Ready to lie cheat and steal....which state if any has zero cell plan taxes? LOL
In a previous thread someone mentioned using Las Vegas zip code to pay little to no taxes

Verizon MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) tend to have better coverage in rural areas in my experience. As someone who was always losing data signal when driving from suburban to rural areas on AT&T, T-Mobile, and TMo MVNOs (Metro, Mint), I have found Visible+ Pro to be substantially better.

For emergency and navigation use I think it's the best, espeically if travelling outside of cities. Download speeds for me usually max around 200-300 Mbit/s in populated urban or suburban areas, and for emergency or nav use in rural areas all I really require is like 1-10 Mbit/s.

I have found T-Mobile and their MVNOs will get you more blazing fast speeds, like 500+ Mbit/s especially indoors, but anything over 20-50 Mbit/s is wasted for me on a phone lol. What I care about best geographic coverage, and Verizon towers have historically been the consensus winner (and anecdotally as well been the best for that). I also care about getting prioritized data, which makes a huge difference in user experience and frustration.

If you are on Visible+ or Visible+Pro you are also getting unlimited priority data, meaning your data is premium and prioritized at same level as Verizon postpaid premium data. If you're on Visible base plan you're getting lower priority data on Verizon towers.

Keep in mind Infinimobile will give you lower priority data on TMo towers, probably equivalent to Mint.

$20 tax (for WA) on 1 year plan kills this deal.
Would that not be the same tax amount regardless of the carrier?

More appropriate question is which of those networks has better coverage in the areas you want. infimobile is a value provider, I don't think they give high priority data in either network.

I think the phone manufacturers have some kind of deal with the networks where a new phone migration for Psim to Esim as part of a new phone purchase is done for free, as I had a free transfer with my Pixel phone as well.

I used chatgpt and put in my zip code and work zip and asked which was better. It gave me a whole analysis and I ended up with Verizon. It's been about a week and so far it's been great in the areas I frequent. Some areas not so great but I always have signal so far. Just a little slow in certain areas but solid so far.

my current subscription will expire in January, if I get a new prepaid plan now on different data limit, will it wait until my current plan expires?

Edit:
Never mind, it is on their FAQ:

Can I upgrade my plan while my current plan is still active?
Yes. You can upgrade your plan at any time, even if your current plan is still active. When upgrading, you'll have two options:

1. Upgrade Immediately
Your new plan will take effect right away, and a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your current plan will be applied automatically.

2. Schedule for Next Cycle
If you prefer, you can set the new plan to start from your next billing cycle, and your current plan will continue until it expires.

This gives you complete flexibility to switch based on your usage and needs.
