It's a direct LED, not mini led or oled. so if ur into those type of specs or details, this isnt that great of a tv but if u dont mind that, then its great.

You only notice those differences when you have those TVs side by side other than that you'll just watch your sh*tty shows and you'll be fine.

You don't have to use the smart features. Use your streaming device of choice. Have a 50" inch in the guest room, it's not connected to Wi-Fi at all. Just a google tv device (Onn plus, iirc) through a pi-hole.

But yeah, the Vizio OS isn't great.
