After going down the rabbit hole, I'm trying to decide on whether to get this or the more expensive Fiskars version (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0030MIHAU/?th=1). For those who don't mind bending down to weed, it looks like the CobraHead weeder and Hori Hori garden knife are highly recommended.

I just bought the fiskars version. It works well. Only thing I don't like is it takes a rather large chunk of soil with it. Not a big deal for a garden or something but not ideal for my grass.

I've found that this works better than Fiskars

I agree. The fiskars version left huge holes in my yard that took longer than expected to fill in.

I have this one and my neighbor had the Fiskars one. I like my Grampa's weeder more, it just seems to work better. The Fiskars one is kind of a clunky brute, though the hands-free discharge is sick

Fiskar's is garbage. It'll break in soft soil. It's completely made of plastic except for the claw which is stronger than its own joints. Their warranty department will take 3 months to get back to you (my experience). Grandpa's Weeder is made of cast iron and wood. Your great grandkids will be pulling weeds with it if you store it in a shed and don't leave it outside.
