Be cautious if you buy these, they are not authorized resellers of licenses and there are many reports of grey market keys failing after initially working for some time.

For anyone concerned, yes, your activation might go bad. And then you just email the saying it went bad, and they'll give you a new one in like 30 minutes. For 20 bucks, it's pretty good customer service.

No one should be supporting this as others have said. While the keys may work, these are not officially allowed for retail resale under Microsoft's TOS.

If you want to go this route, just go the free route and by running the activation scripts from massgrave.dev. At least they're honest with what they are -- an open source Microsoft Windows/Office activation tool.

Others have stated: you're getting this from an unauthorized seller, who has gotten this from where / who exactly? It's kind of like giving ten bucks to a guy in the shadows in a dark alley for a code. You're pretty trusting if you buy. Can you be sure there isn't malicious code / malware parked in the software your downloading, sucking out whatever you have in your computer or using it as a spam or other bot? No, you can't be sure. Would you ever know? Maybe so, maybe not. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Trust no one.

Never heard of these keys failing after initially working for some time. To prove you're not just fearmongering for attention, please link legit source stating this.

Keys don't really exist anymore. Did a fresh install of 11 on a 10 machine a few days ago, activated fine off the HWID license. No idea if it will accept a 10 key in the prompt during setup since you always just do "I don't have a key" there anyway.

The licenses might be questionable, but generally for any installer from a competent commercial software company (and certainly Microsoft) you should br able to right-click on the installer file to pull up the properties and then use the Digital Signature tab to confirm the file is signed by the company (ie Microsoft) and verify the signature is still valid (ie rhe file was actually made by Microaofg and hasn't been changed afterwards).

I stand corrected, MS treats W10 and W11 retail keys part of same family and you can use W10 key to activate same version (Home to Home, Pro to Pro etc.) of W11. Same is true if it's OEM key tied to hardware. My earlier statement is true only for W7 and W8.x keys unless they were converted to digital license (tied to MS account) prior to October 2023.
And, yes you don't need a key to install or even use W11 but a lot of settings will be locked down unless activated.

What you are getting is just the key, not the installer. Get the installer from MS website and use the key to activate. Whether it activates and if so whether it gets blocked sometime in future, are different but valid questions.

I would say that this is not exactly legit. I wouldn't be surprised that someone changed the massgravel script to generate keys for Office and Windows. The last time that I brought a legit office product was about 10 years ago when I got Office 2016 for about $10 from my job.

Not suggesting that anyone run it without activating. Just saying if you have an existing license for 10 or 11 tied to the PC (either digital/HWID or embedded in the mobo) you don't need to put any key in during install, it will activate automatically after install.

As far as MS is concerned, 10 and 11 are the same thing, keys and licenses (for the same edition) are interchangeable. Well you probably can't use an 11 key to install 10, but I've never tried.

That particular script has supported office for a long time now but it does not generate keys, totally different method.

But that's not what is being sold here, they're corporate or education keys that a rogue employee has sold, or OEM keys that were stolen by an employee of a PC manufacturer. In some cases they're OEM keys intended for use in 3rd world countries where they give free licenses out.

Corporate and education keys can be revoked (usually happens when you install a major update or try to reinstall) and OEM keys cannot be used to reinstall and can't be transferred, even if all you do is replace your CPU or mobo, the "changed hardware" feature won't work.

If it is a KMS key (enterprise clients) it will stop working after about 90 days unless you create an MS account and give some shady 3rd party access to your data (essentially pretending to be an employee).

Visio isn't even the best option on the market these days, let alone the only one. Still gets the job done but it's definitely not the defacto option it used to be (which I would say is now Lucidchart)
