Wouldn't it make more sense to buy a PS5 at this price point?
Yeah. Zelda, Metroid, Pikichu and Mario all look sweet on a PS5. Wise up, your PS tattoo is showing when you post

Sure, I can take my ps5 to a plane with my tv and hook it up in my seat while I take my 4hour trip

If that's what you want, but there's not really a comparison between Nintendo and PlayStation, like there is with PS and XBox. People don't buy a switch for the graphics, it's the gameplay and titles offered. That will never be on pc or other consoles

Well not if you are someone who wants physical games and for that rug to not to get pulled out from under you about ~16 months from now.

Thank you for posting this, I'm going to buy this and return the game without a receipt the next day to get $57 back in Walmart credit. I would have gotten $70 back but the game was on sale in the end of July and Walmart gives you back the lowest price within 3 months

good old PlayStation came out 5 years ago, I would rather buy newer technology for cheaper AND a portable screen, which is something a PlayStation doesn't have.

I agree the price is steep. When they announced it was coming out I was fully ready to drop $300 maybe even $350 on it. When it was priced at $450 I knew they were going to leave me behind and still sell millions of these. Now it's been out awhile and the only exclusive I'm interested in is OoT and there's enough other games coming out that it will be shelved even if I had a Switch 2. I'll wait for some upgraded version in a year or two.
Everything is elevated these days sadly.

That said, Donkey Kong is an awesome exclusive. Star Fox is a great remake, too.

True. PS5 Pro has a better GPU but the price point feels like being hit in the head with a ton of bricks. I ended up selling my og PS5 and got a Pro, but still feel violated lol. Thankfully was able to offload a PS4 for $130 + a $50 voucher towards the pro, otherwise the sticker shock would've been too much. Only really worth considering if have an OLED tv or something but the price is insane

So $450 before price increase and now this price but game included. Not terrible price considering Mario games always expensive anyways
