Funny how people get mad at literally everything. Mad TOTK doesn't have DLC, mad at BOTW because it does, and mad at paying the same MSRP as 1998's Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64.

You won't regret it. You get a lot of additional game time with this DLC, and if you complete everything, the end game is made a bit easier for it.

Protip - you can save $14 by not purchasing something completely optional.

How can TotK have DLC? It is DLC itself.

Your own sleep deals. It always has to be a discount for it to make sense, lol

Video games are "completely optional" as well yet here we all are.

It's a good deal as far as Nintendo goes. Unfortunately, unlike other companies they don't really ever do the re-bundled cheaper re-releases like "Game of the Year Edition" and what not.

I'm not sure who buys Nintendo games so late into cycles on Switch 1 or old Switch 1 games with upgrade packs. I get the upgrade packs, just not the people that still purchase the original games at $40 or more years after release. With Nintendo games I usually decide day one if I am going to buy it. If I decide no that means I never will buy it. I own a bunch of the Nintendo games they released on Wii U and then re-released on Switch. Had they even gone on sale for $20 or less. Would have double dipped on almost all of them. But not for $40 on sale like a decade after the original release. I'm sure Nintendo makes extra money by keeping game prices higher. They also lose money from those that never double dip because games go on sale.

For Instance I own Final Fantasy X Remaster and the Remaster of XII Zodiac Age at least 4 times for each. I even own X Remaster on Vita. So while Square didn't get as much from me per purchase. They far exceeded what Nintendo gets from me because X and XII I both bought at full price on release day. And that doesn't count that fact I bought both X and XII on release day on PS2 and still have those in my collection.

Value is in the end in the eye of the beholder. And apparently Nintendo's model works for them and their shareholder. Just a matter if that model works for you and you find value in it.
