These are worth it when you need them, I put them out at parties during the summer, and in my kids dugout during their games. They do a great job at keeping everyone cool and a 4ah battery lasts just about all day. I don't need or use them often, but when I do, everyone loves them.

Or it could be an end of summer clearance sale. Getting their money back and giving people a deal seems like a win win because storage is expensive. I usually buy seasonal deals like this to prep for next year.

I'm in AZ and these are a lifesaver for outside sports. We had one and were looking for a deal to get a backup bc we didn't want to be without one. We got this double deal last time and the first one is still going strong so we might gift one of them to our teammates. They are that good, and they last.

These are great and easy to use.
I bought my set 3 years ago at 2 for $99.
Still use them. Great little fan even without the mist but the mist is better. And you can change it the mist nozzles to different sizes of your like.
Totally worth it.

Exactly - I had to pay MSRP for this a few years ago because summer was heating up, and seeing the slickdeal history bummed me out, but what can you do.

I got 2 last time. Great fans. I would set low for the mist setting because full gets everything super wet if the air is not dry enough.

I have both the 3 speed "hybrid whisper" and this one. I use them both literally every day because I'm fully off grid, have a ton of 18v Ryobi batteries, and I'm in South Florida (it's hot even in the middle of the night). I *prefer* the 3 speed version only because it offers more flexibility (high speed mid day when it's a 110° heat index, mid speed at night, lowest when I'm away and just want something circulating air). But the misting fan works great too and pushes more air on high than the 3 speed hybrid. It's a 2 pack because it'll cool and mist a whole family outdoors, not because of planned obsolescence.

Remember, you don't have to use the mist feature, these work great as regular portable fans too. Love the fact I don't have to deal with cords

The shills are out so hard. Lol. I'm gonna buy one just to see how bad it is. It's not even a hybrid and doesn't have the 3 speed settings it's counter part does. Hence why it's discounted and the other rarely goes under $80 bucks

Mine is a few years old and the only snag I've hit is once per year or so one of the misters will clog. Can't remember if they unscrew by hand or a little wrench - but I've been able to clean them out with one stolen "bristle" from a wire brush

As someone else pointed out it'll soak you if you put it too close - and I have no idea if the newer model is better
