This meter is absolute overkill for most home users and even most professionals. At the same time, if you need the extra features and have to (or prefer to go) with Fluke, then the price is excellent for this meter.

For most home users, there are a lot of options for about 1/4 the price which don't compromise on safety and provide a more relevant feature set without the extras. If you are ONLY doing low voltage stuff like battery powered electronics, then you can find a bunch of options at roughly 1/10 the price.

I have one of these at work. If you can find the Bluetooth adapter for it, it's a great piece of kit. I can monitor what equipment is doing behind the plane of a guard using my cellphone. It also The logging function is a good bonus for automation/mechatronic techs.

This is a great price, however I HATE this meter (worse viewing angle, slower auto range, slower boot up, eats batteries vs previous models). It's a definite downgrade from the previous 187-189 meter. That said this is the top of the line beast of a meter with great accuracy and precision. if you need this, get it now.

289 user, all the complaints are valid. I hit the power button as soon as i pick it up and boom ready to roll. grab two, one set on volts one on current and boom peak lazybones don't have to adjust anything just ready to rock. still my go to meters. Good price for a new one. If you're willing to spend it you will, if you aren't you'll find reasons not to. All valid. Never been a better time to get a lot of features in a low price option.
