Anyone else realize most of the "deals" are now Amazon (sellers)?

I've blocked Amazon deals, so no, I haven't observed this.

While I am not a fan of Amazon's "deals" as most times I can find them from whatever store or site they're matching I understand why it may seem like they're the majority of the deal threads. At the end of the day Slickdeals is a business that has to pay their employees. They have a better chance of getting paid from the affiliate links from Amazon than some smaller companies.

I'm not sure if you guys are aware but Amazons total share of e-commerce in America is over 40%. This comment isn't intended to diminish anyone else's comments but I think it's an important piece of information in this discussion.

So what you're saying is that Amazon would cease to exist if that 40%+ stopped being dependent on them for "deals"? Interesting.

All I know is Amazon's 2 day shipping is constantly never the case. At least Walmart+ always works for me.

That might be true, but considering Amazon deals average 70-75% of all deals published on Slickdeals, and currently 132 deals out of 174 total (76%) posted on Frontage are from Amazon, that's some damnig statistic.

Target's Circle 360 shipping is not half bad either. Though their packaging leads something to be desired sometimes. They sent me a single CD in a large enough box to house a small appliance once.

I have to wonder if they're under hourly quotas like the Amazon sweatshop workers.

I have noticed that if I post two identical deals - one for Amazon and one for Walmart - the Amazon deal always gets more attention. I'm sure some of it is organic, more people likely have prime so low-priced items get free shipping. But I have a feeling it's an algorith that places Amazon deals in front of users.

Probably because using walmart+ is a major pain in the ass compared to amazon.

To add insult, most of these crappy books are not even 99 cents these days - they are 2-3 dollars (and posted by semibots that now come as Deal Hunters™). I miss those old, good Selma days...
