Diablo 5 has been announced for 2029.
There are 2 DLCs, not included here, and they are fairly important for end game. Its become a pay wall.
Normally $40, but currently on sale for $30.
Hope this helps.
Does this game have a terrible loot grind like Diablo 2? I wasted too much of my childhood grinding for runes and acting like a bot on endless boss runs.
While yes, Diablo V was announced, it's for a 2029 release! Thats still over 2 years away at the earliest. There is and will be a ton more content for Diablo IV until then, so this is a great deal. Grab it while they drop it on the recent D5 news.
they giveup 4 mostly because once D5 announced they are more focus on 5 they gonna layout more resource from 4
People complained that Diablo is somehow missing from Diablo 4, so Blizzard came up with the perfect solution: announce Diablo 5. What a weird strategy.
D4 already feels like it's on life support. Between all the issues it has had and PoE2 taking a huge chunk of attention from the genre, Blizzard's answer seems to be moving on and hyping the next game instead.
Sure, D5 probably isn't coming until 2029 or later since development is apparently just getting started. But you already know a big chunk of Blizzard's resources and attention is going to start shifting toward D5 from here.
Remind me when they bundle all of D4 for under $20. At that price, maybe it'll be worth picking up while waiting for D5.

These people sound like the "Switch 2 is RiGhT ArOuNd tHe cOrNeR" folk who refused to buy a Switch (or upgrade to an OLED) for nearly a decade for this ever moving target YEARS away from being relevant. And when D5 comes out, then they'll refuse to buy that waiting on D6.....

So they are going cast aside their biggest cash cow for what is YEARS and YEARS away and likely will be delayed further? Kinda doubt it. Especially considering D3 had a 10+ years of updates AND that overlapped with D4 development (and release) by 7-8 of those years. Heck, D3 was even updated AFTER D4 was released.

And you loved it all, didn't you!
Know I spent days (weeks?) on D1 and D2 in the 90s & 2000s. Even having to replay the games just to try the different characters.

This game sucks for players without the 2 expansion packs. The players with the 2 expansion packs are overpowered by like 500 percent compared to the characters with only the standard edition. Which means multiplayer mode is a joke for the people who had only the standard version. Not recommended.

You're joking right? Diablo 2 has the perfect amount of "grind" to make the legendary items actually feel like a reward. The runes and high value gear that take forever to get are the end game gear. D4 on the other hand gives you 8+ legendaries every event/run. You get so bogged down in looking at all the stats that when the legendary drops it no longer means anything.
People are talking about the DLC in this thread like it's the end of the world or something. So I went searching for the cost of the DLC (it can't be THAT bad)..... $70 for one of the DLC packages. π§
So the game came out for $60. They expect their fans to pay an additional $70 then the other DLC is on sale for $30 right now but I'm sure it was much higher when it came out too. So blizzard wanted it's players to sink like $200 into the game. π±π

I guess the positive news is that Diablo players are subsidizing Overwatch 2 player's lives. Overwatch is a free game & you don't have to pay any money to enjoy it. π Thanks Diablo players.
